Horizon
This series marks a turning point in my creative path. It is a deliberate return to a more pragmatic representation, whose premise is the depiction of horizon and depth. Despite being of a more figurative nature, these spaces still exist within the fictional domain where pictorial intervention is still central to the image’s composition. Here the importance of this investigation is founded on both the quest of representation – the choices it implies with regards to its subject – and the image’s definition. Through these experiments, I am seeking greater technical mastery of the various processes that yield and construct this representation.
